Canopic shrine of Tutankhamun
This goddess is ready to devour the heart of the deceased once failed to prove that he is not guilty in the judgment court so one of he titles is that she who devours the dead .
– As we can see the head of this couch is represented in the form of a hippopotamus head with open mouth of the tongue , the teeth are made out of ivory but tongue is painted red while teeth still carry the original colour of the ivory .
The eyes are made out of obsidian .
The body is of a crocodile and the legs are in the form of lion paws .
The footboard decorated with d_d pillar and Tit knot , sign of Isis , Osiris , signs of eternity , stability.
The third couch
This couch is represented in the form of another sacred animal which is goddess Mhyt whi
flood . As we know Egypt was a country that depon mainly on the flood in it’s irrigational system , also goddess Myht is in carnation of goddess Hathur , skhit , Isis because she is represented in the form of lioness .
Goddess Mhyt should be appeared in order to cause the Nile flood.
The eyes of the lioness are inlaid with rock crystal the eyelids, check bones and nose are made out blue glass .
Also the footboard is decorated with the d_d pillar Tit knot sign of Isis.

The tomb of Tut Ankh Amun contained 4 complete game boards .
The ancient Egyptians played games from the beginning of history.
This game was called Senet a word that means Passing .All the people played this game and it was found in many places , including the tombs of many officials.
– The ancient Egyptians considered that the first people in the ancient world knew the game and many pharaohs are shown on the walls of their tombs playing Senet .
For example Ramsis third had himself shown on the walls of his palace at Habu City playing Senet with his daughter .
In this game the board had 30 squares in 3 rows and the 2 players each try to advance their own pieces .
The drawer which held the playing pieces and the dice , we found empty , and the pieces seen here found with another game board.
The Senet Game
In the introduction of the game Senet as one of the occupation of the deceased in the other world ,neither world
In other words the book of the dead mentions that it was essential for the deceased to play the Senet game , as a funerary game, on his journey in the afterlife from east to west .
Senet means “ passing “ so it would symbolise the passage of the deceased through the netherworld, it was a popular game from the earliest time in Egypt .
It must had a long history because it is represented occasionally in the scenes on the walls of the old kingdom tombs , the Senet game was played everywhere and by all social levels .
